Recovering Listening Grace 1/10/2021
Greetings in His Name!
This week we started a new series of six messages based on the work of Pastor Steven Martyn titled "Movements of Grace: Recovering the Heart of our Wesleyan Tradition".
This week we discuss Listening Grace and we are reminded that even while we feel like we are choosing the "good" that we need to listen for Jesus to share His plan with us.
If we are not careful, we get lost in the "doing" and our heart changes from a focus of sacrificial service to Our Lord to a heart of sin (worry, anger, fear). We lose sight of listening to God above all and when our heart is focused on sin, we cannot listen for His guidance.
Choosing to start each day with a focus on Christ and in each moment asking Him to guide our choices to His Will helps us stay on track.
