This Saturday, Sept 7th, is the Harmony Music Festival! The show begins at 3pm and will have 5 musical acts, inflatables, food trucks, face painting and a prayer tent. All the musical groups are local and play a variety of music. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of music and fun.

This week we conclude our reading of the Gospel of John! It has been a powerful experience to read the entire book and rediscover the truth of Jesus: He is the Son of God!
One of the key moments of chapter 21 is Jesus discussion with Peter. Once Peter's relationship with Jesus had been restored and redefined, Jesus tells Peter to follow him. Obediently he begins to follow Jesus. Peter notices that another disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, also following them and asks, "Lord, what about him?"
Jesus response not only refocus Peter, but should be a great lesson for all people. "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to your? You must follow me." Peter's question about what another is doing is met with a question from Jesus, what is that to you? I think it is our natural tendency to compare ourselves to others; wanting to know what is going on and how we measure up. We tell ourselves two types of lies: I am better than that person or I am not as good as that person. Jesus puts it all into perspective. You must follow me.
Place all of your focus on Jesus. We do not need to know or understand everything. Our call is to follow Jesus, because we know He is the Son of God. Avoid distractions by keeping Jesus first on your heart and mind. He will help you to see your purpose and guide you into what you were meant to do.
