March 8, 2020 Born Again

    Today is the day that the Lord has made!  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!  Every sunrise begins a new day.  God gives us a fresh chance to say yes to His loving invitation.  Being born again is something that happens in an instance, but at the same time it is something that is a continuous process of transformation.  The Holy Spirit comes into our hearts to testify to the love of God in Jesus Christ.  It is that same Holy Spirit that brings the healing and forgiveness for our sin and allows for the spiritual growth. 
    Jesus died as a sacrifice for our sins and in his resurrection we have new life.  Jesus wipes our slate clean and it is in him that we put our hope and faith.  To be born again means to die to our old self so we can put on new life in Christ.
    With every sunrise, give thanks to God for his love and righteousness.  Give thanks for the opportunity to be forgiven and to be renewed.
