Blog Post Worship Format

Opening Prayer:
God of grace and glory, we thank you that you judge us not by the perfection of our actions, but by our readiness to live boldly in faith.  Help us, as individuals and as a congregation, to trust you and follow where you lead, that in Christ your name may be glorified in all the earth.  Amen.

Read these Scriptures Lessons1 Samuel 16: 1-13; Psalm 23; Ephesians 5: 8-14

Intercessory Prayer: Use the following intercessory prayer to help you focus specific concerns.
Show us your mercy, O Lord; And grant us your salvation.
  Give peace, O Lord, in all the world; For only in you can we live in safety.
  Let your way be known upon earth; Your saving health among all nations.
  Create in us clean hearts, O God; And sustain us with your Holy Spirit.

Take some time to pray for yourself and others.  Let the Spirit lead you and guide you as you pray.

The Church Universal, its members and its mission...
The Nation and all in authority...
The welfare of the world...
The concerns of the local community...
Those who suffer and those in trouble and need...
Lord’s PrayerConclude this time of prayer with reciting the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray.
