Jan. 5, 2020 A Promise Revealed
Welcome to a New Year!
Wait. The Christian year begins with the beginning of Advent. Christians recognize this as the beginning of the new year because it is a time to prepare and give glory to God the creator and redeemer. We recognize God's salvation begins and ends with Jesus Christ. That is why we worship on Sunday morning. It really should be seen as the beginning of the week. To begin each week, and each day, with praise and worship of God is the proper response for all who follow Jesus.
On Epiphany, Christians remember God's love revealed to the Gentiles through the Magi's worship of the infant baby Jesus. God's work is for all people, and all creation, to be brought into right relationship with himself. We celebrate glory revealed to the world!
