If you are new to our blog page let me share some information about Holy Week in the Oak Hill community. Each night of Holy Week, a different church hosts a worship hour that includes music, pray, a message from a visiting clergy and love that can only be found in unity with Christ. This year we have Child Evangelism Fellowship provide a children's learning hour for ages 4-12. Each night of the week, the CEF team will present a different lesson that teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We kicked off Holy Week 2019 at Maple Run Friends. Pastor John Key of Maple Run began with some introductions and prayer and then turned it over to the Maple Run praise team.
The message was preached by Pastor Scott Baker, Richland Chapel UMC. He taught about the crowd that celebrated the arrival of Jesus and the importance of not just being happy with the crowd. We have great joy because Jesus is the Son of God and we should be bold in sharing this Good News with everyone.
110 people came out to celebrate the arrival of Jesus.
Who do you know in your circle of influence that could use the Good News of Jesus Christ? I encourage to go and be bold for Christ! We have a lot to celebrate and everyone is welcome.
Monday Night we will be at Converse UMC. Pastor James Schroeder from Jalapa Chapel will be giving the message about Peter. Tuesday Night will be at Herbst UMC. We look forward to spending Spirit led worship with you this week.
