   As we look at our community, we should see each person with the eyes of Christ.  Jesus was so amazing in that he had such a compassion for those individuals that were discarded by society.  His message of repentance was for all people, regardless of status, but he was particularly concerned with those in the margins of society.

    This week we looked at the story of Philip, who by the prompting of the Holy Spirit, went to the Eunuch, ministered to him and walked along with him until the Spirit moved him on.  This action could have cost Philip his reputation but his faithfulness to God's calling was more important.  Let us look for the opportunities to reach out to those in our community that need a friend.  Someone to listen to them.  To meet them where they are at and walk along side them during their journey.

   Remember, we are not here our ourselves, rather we are here for those who do not yet know the hope that comes in the name of Jesus Christ.
