Knowledge - Experience Only Goes So Far
Greetings in the Name of Jesus:
Today we finished our series following up on Virtues that supplement our faith with Knowledge to supplement the Virtues.
With Knowledge we have focused on 4 key areas: Scripture, Tradition, Reason and Experience.
We focused on Experience today. In this discussion we are reminded that experience is a great teacher and shapes us. How we respond to the experience must be aligned to God's will for our lives and be focused and directed toward spiritual maturity.
Experience has its limits, and at times we are limited by how we have responded in the past. Moving closer to Jesus means letting go of the things of the world. Sometimes this means letting go of a past hurt related to an experience and allowing the Peace of Christ to wash over us and prepare us for the next experience.
How has experience shaped your faith? Is it bearing good fruit? Know that no matter what Jesus already knows these answers and is waiting with open arms to guide you to spiritual maturity through Knowledge.
