Thanksgiving.

This week our nation celebrates thanksgiving.  For a Christian, this should be an everyday event.  There are so many things we have to be thankful for.  At this very moment, you are reading this post on an electronic device.  The message of hope, peace, joy and love can come to you in an instant.  Be thankful for electricity.  Be thankful for an education allowing you to read and comprehend this message.  Our world today has so many things that we can be thankful for.  However, it often fails to acknowledge that which is most important
Be thankful for Jesus Christ.  Be thankful that when we are at our most high and our very low, Jesus is still Lord and ready to receive us with open arms.  For all our sins, Jesus paid the price.  It is because of his loving sacrifice, through God's grace by faith in Jesus Christ, we can have life eternal.  Our story is not defined or limited to this life, but goes beyond.  We do not have to carry the burdens by ourselves, because Jesus promises that He will always be with us.  That is something to truly be thankful for.
As we gather with family and friends, find time everyday to be thankful, because God deserves nothing less.

Happy Thanksgiving and Praise God!
Pastor Jeremy
