Blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ!

This weeks sermon will be uploaded on Wednesday.  This was the final message of the series that looked at the journey of going from fan of Jesus to a disciple of Jesus Christ.  The message today focused on how we make disciples and understanding the responsibility we have to do that.

Devotionals are a great way to provide a focus for the day.  I enjoy reading someones thoughts about living a life of faith, and reading the Scripture that the author references.  This week, my calendar devotional, by Oswald Chambers, focused on "the good or the best".  He examined the reason for a lack of spiritual growth is often because we make choices on the basis of our desires/intentions, rather than relying on God to make the choice for us.  The point he is trying to make is when we are making all the decisions and choices, we become dulled to the spiritual insight that God uses to guide us.

Even our best intentions will fall short of God's glory.  Our responsibility as Christ followers is to seek God's will and serve him only.  That means we serve God at the expense of our own wants, desires, needs and logic.  Submitting to God will always produce the best results.  Take time to seek God's call and be patient for His timing.  Then, in His time, step out in faith as He leads you.  It will always work out for those who faithfully follow Jesus Christ.

Go and share God's love,

Pastor Jeremy
