Blessings in the name of Jesus the Christ!

We want to wish all our women, Happy Mother's Day!  We love you and appreciate the long hours, hard work and sacrifices you make for all children.  Thank you for the love, patience and caring that you share with us everyday.

Any human friendship begins with an initial meeting.  By accident or plan, the introduction to new people will occur throughout your life.  The friendships that last have one thing in common, time together.  Friendships over time will test the boundaries of trust, and as time goes on the friendships will deepen, or perhaps fall away.  The friends we grow truly close to are usually the ones that we spend the most time with, learning about each other, sharing experiences and strengthening the connections that bind us together.
A relationship with Jesus is no exception.  The more time we spend with him the more we learn about Him and about God's way's.  In John 14: 9, Jesus says this to Philip, "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father."  In this dialogue, Jesus is again revealing himself to the disciples.  To know Jesus is to know God.  To be friends with Jesus is to be friends with God!  That sounds awesome!
It seems for us in today's society it is challenging to know Jesus.  There is our work, family, church, kids activities and a million other things that scream for our attention.  Many people might lament having to carve out time for prayer, like trying to squeeze in coffee with an old friend.  We ask, "Where will I find the time for another friendship?"  I want to encourage you to look at this from the other side of the equation.
Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God.  The Messiah, who came, died on the cross for your sins and conquered death.  He is now, right now, seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.  The thing he desires more than anything else is for you to believe in Him.  To accept an eternal relationship with Him. A relationship that is stronger, more faithful, more loving and more gracious than any relationship we can find.
    Remember:  HE WINS!
Look at your to-do list for tomorrow.  Ask yourself this question as you plan your schedule:  "Where can I squeeze in time to _____ around my time with Jesus?"  Build the friendship that is 100% committed to you first, by spending time committed to Him!  Then let the rest of the "stuff" fall into place.  You will be amazed at what you will accomplish with your best friend, Jesus!

In Christ's love,
Pastor Jeremy
