    Jesus came to us so that we might have hope.  His teaching and healing were all in the attempt to turn people to God.  Repentance.  All of his ministry, and his ultimate sacrifice, was out of love for people.  The result is a living Lord and Savior.  Our faith in Jesus brings to us a peace and love that surpasses all understanding.  We can live free because of the knowledge that our eternity is secure in the loving sacrifice of Jesus the Christ.

   Today we honor our military veterans.  These brave men and women have served our country to help provide the freedom that we enjoy.  Let us take a moment this week and pray for all veterans who served our great nation.  Their sacrifice and service are worthy of being honored.
