Agape - The Love of God - 11/07/2021
God is Love.
Love is the foundation of all of the supplements of our faith.
Love is strong enough to stand on during all of our trials in life as we are Sanctified in our faith.
God created us out of Love for us. He put His Love in us at creation. We are made to Love Him.
We Love God by giving His Love to others. We Love God by honoring His commands.
We Love God by understanding and receiving the gift that Jesus gave to us on the cross. The gift of reconciliation to The Father, Our Creator God who we are separated from by our own sin. We cannot live in our own sin and be reconciled to God at the same time. Christ's sacrifice allows us to be redeemed from our sin and accepted by God as an heir to His Kingdom.
Agape Love is God's Love. It is purposeful, intentional and desires the good of another. Christ sacrifice for us is Agape Love. He desires our good. He did it on purpose.
When we accept Christ as our Savior, His Love courses through us to be the power we need to honor those who we see as not deserving, love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. We cannot do this on our own power, we need Christ and His Love to be our firm foundation.
