Steadfast in Friendship and Fellowship - 09/05/2021
Today we finish up our series of messages discussing Steadfastness on our journey to Spiritual Maturity.
In the early church, Christians were a community of believers that were devoted to the teachings of the apostles. They lived as an example of Christ to others who had not yet heard and received His salvation. They listened to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and received Him gladly. They welcomed those around them with radical hospitality and worshipped together daily.
They were friends to each other, not just friendly, but true friends. They were intentional in risking rejection of their hearts in serving others with the love of Christ. They sought true relationship and friendship with Jesus.
His truth still stands. We are called into friendship with Jesus. We are to remain steadfast to this friendship as it will prove an example of how we are to live with others in this world.
