Godliness: As God Is, So We Worship To Become - Rev. Rick Carder - 09/12/2021
This week we welcomed Rev. Rick Carder to begin the next section of our journey toward spiritual maturity by studying through 2 Peter: 3-8.
The message this week focuses on Godliness. The very root of the word is about putting God into focus.
We must have Him as the top of our decision making and to do this we must know Him. He desires a relationship with us. God is not just someone we know about, He is someone we want to know.
God desires to share so much with us. Although much of God is unseen and requires faith to believe, through Jesus, we can see God's character.
This week we learned that everything we do is to be done for God's glory. His glory, not ours. God gives us so much, but the glory is His alone. He is Holy and Worthy to be praised. When we worship, we seek to live according to the example of Jesus Christ realizing that we will always fall short without Him.
How do we bring the invisible God into our lives/worship today?
Hope + Unseen * Christ - Nothing = Faith
Live in Faith!
Seek God and worship Him with ALL you do!
