Steadfastness - In the Midst of Trials - 08/08/2021
This week we move on to the next step on our journey to Spiritual Maturity through scripture given in 2 Peter 1: 3-8.
We have talked about how Faith is supplemented with Virtue. Virtue is supplemented with Knowledge. Knowledge is supplemented with Self Control.
This week we move on to how Steadfastness supplements Self Control.
Our hope must remain steadfast in Jesus. Too often, in times of trial, we misplace our hope. We look for signs of hope in things of the world. We forget to go to The Father in prayer and we wait, hopelessly devoted to something that cannot give true healing.
We must be steadfast in remembering to go to God first with all of our questions and answer the question that He asked to the man waiting on a pool of water to heal him.
Jesus asks "Do you want to be healed?"
Our response should always be a resounding YES. We can't worry about why or how or with what we will be healed. Going to Jesus first in our trials will bring a hope that we can't get from anything in this world.
Remain steadfast to Him...seek Him...find your hope in Him... Every day, every hour, every minute...breathe in His Love and accept the Peace that comes from having Faith in the One who has overcome the world.
