Self Control - The Domains of Life

This week we continue on in understanding how Self Control in all domains of life can supplement our Knowledge on a path to Spiritual Maturity.

A domain is defined as a specified sphere of activity or knowledge.  Many different cultures, industries, religions and educational pursuits have domains that help group things together.  In a general human sense it is the different areas of life in which we live - Family, Work, Recreation, Friendships, Community, Church, School, Volunteering, etc.

The truth is that all domains in our lives matter to God.  Life with Him is not a separate domain, it is overarching and works within all domains.

It is easy in our world today to put time with God or worship of God or conversations about God in a special domain set aside for that specific time and place when it makes sense.  The truth is that these things and other Marks of a Christian (found in Romans 12: 9-21) need to be visible in all areas of our life!

Do others see God as Lord of your life, leading in and through all domains?

Last week we talked about the first step of Self Control being surrender.  What domains of your life do you need to surrender to God?  In what domains of your life do you need better self control?

Here is this week's message:

I pray you will give God authority in all domains of your life this week by surrendering fully to Him!
