Key to the Kingdom 6/7/20

                     Trinity Sunday

Opening Prayer:
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
   as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.  Amen.

Almighty God, through your only Son you overcame death
   and opened to us the gate of everlasting life.
Grant that we who celebrate our Lord’s resurrection,
   by the renewing of your Spirit,
   arise from the death of sin to the life of righteousness;
through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Scriptures Lessons:  Jeremiah 4: 1-4
(Take some time silently meditate on God’s Word)

Apostles Creed:  Take the time to read this Creed and affirm what you believe it.

Lord’s Prayer:  Conclude this time of prayer with reciting the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray.

Intercessory PrayerUse the following intercessory prayer to help you focus specific concerns.
Take some time to pray for yourself and others.  Let the Spirit lead you and guide you as you pray.
God of eternity:
You are present with us because of Christ’s rising from the dead,
   and you persist in lifting us to new life in him.
We bring to you our prayers for this world in need of resurrection.
Especially we pray
   for the strengthening of our faith…
   for an end to this disease…
   for your hope to find the hearts of those who do not know you…
   for your power and love to bring healing to our hearts, minds and bodies…
But Lord, not as we would have it, but may your will be done,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

The Gospel Lesson:     Matthew 13: 10-17 (included in message)

Closing Prayer:  Conclude this time of worship together by praying this prayer...
Have mercy upon us, O God, according to your loving kindness.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out our transgressions.
Wash us thoroughly from our iniquities, and cleanse us from our sins.
For we acknowledge our transgressions, and our sin is ever before us.
Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us; through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen.
