Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ!
Here is part 12 of 13 in our study of the Gospel of John. As you listen to the reading of chapters 19 and 20, notice who has the power. Jesus is in God and God is in Jesus. This power is the same power that created the universe and all living things. We do not have the power, despite our own thinking. Also, take notice of how it is always Jesus that reveals himself to the people. Even the most devout followers of Jesus fail to recognize Jesus, until Jesus reveals himself to them.

Take hope. Jesus conquered death. He is risen!!
Jesus is not past tense. He is as much alive today in heaven as he was when he walked the earth with his disciples. He was in beginning, is now and will be forever. In Jesus, God comes to man, again, to reveal himself and his glory to all people. By God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, we have life eternal in his name. Our life here on earth is given new meaning and new direction in Christ.
Life in this world is a challenge. We can be happy and excited one minute and come crashing back down to reality with sadness and fear the next. To the Christ follower, these up and downs still occur, but the joy in our heart remains pure, because it is linked to Jesus. In being a disciple of Jesus, who overcame the grave, he promises life eternal to those who believe in him.
If you have not made a commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or it has been a long time, take a moment today to acknowledge and praise Him. After all, he died so you may live.
It is in Jesus that we can find true Hope!
