Peace and blessings to you in the name of Jesus! Know that you are loved by God, with a love that we can not fully understand. Isn't that awesome!

I can remember an old coaches saying, used to motivate players to give their best at practice or workouts. "If you are not getting better, your getting worse." The point was that if you are not taking steps to improve yourself, then consequently you are falling behind, because your opponent is working hard to beat you. If you rest on where you are, you will never improve and others will pass you by.
This rings true in our faith walk as well. While faith is not a competition, growing spiritually is important for our whole being. If we take time off from being with God, or studying the Word, we will miss intimate opportunities to be in God's presence. He is our Father, the King of all creation, yet makes himself available to us anytime we need Him. Jesus teaches us to pray often. Prayer is the opportunity to allow God to give us what we need.
I hope that you will take time throughout your day, to lift thanks and praise to God. Pray for Him to enter you heart and transform you from the inside. Surrender to His love that knows exactly what you need and then allow Him to guide you in the day. Whatever you may face, you will be taking your heavenly Father with you and He knows and loves you like no other.
Let's grow closer to God each day this week!
