Godliness - Flushing Our Idols - 10/03/2021
This week we conclude our section of this series talking about Godliness as it plays a part in our journey to spiritual maturity.
We have looked at Godliness with three other aspects in the prior weeks. We have talked about God as Our Creator, that He is the only one worthy of our worship and how we should include Him in each moment of our lives. Today we talk about God being first in our lives. Anything that is put before God is an idol, this can be specific things like actual object worship, worship of power and even worship of self. If we are not bringing all we have to God and trusting Him to show us the next steps to take in each moment, we are making an idol out of something.
We are all guilty of this. Only with trusting in God can we overcome and live a life of discipline in serving Him above all else.
Everything is God's, He created it, He allowed it. It is His. We are to give it to Him knowing that He will supply all of our needs. All we need to do is trust Him.
Let us humbly give our hearts genuinely and completely to The Lord this week.
