Our Milk - Eternal Judgement - 03/07/2021
Greetings in the name of Christ, our Redeemer,
This week we continue with our series "From Milk to Solid Food", a God-inspired collaborative effort with Pastor Matt Stewart of Sweetser Wesleyan Church.
Last week we talked about the essential nutrients in the "Milk" of our faith. We talked about the importance of Knowledge, Belief and Trust as a foundation built to grow on as we mature in our faith.
This week we discover one reason why these essentials are so important. We are told that one day there will be judgement. Eternal judgment. Christ will return and render judgement. We are told that we will give account for our actions...specifically our words. The way we live our lives affects the result of this judgement.
While the word can be scary, "judgment" is really just declaring a verdict of right vs. wrong. The part that typically scares us is the "eternal" part attached to this specific judgement. The result of this final judgement declares our future with or without God.
The Good News is that Christ has not yet returned to cast this judgement. We have the choice each day to embrace the "Milk" given that allows Him to nurture our hearts to true relationship with Him.
Seek Him - Seek knowledge of Him
Believe in Him - Believe Him
Trust in Him - Trust Him
These essentials guide our hearts to Him. They guide us toward the relationship with Him that brings eternal life.
Nothing matters except Jesus. He is our #1 heart influencer! Ask him to guide your heart and your actions as you live in faith today!
