The Shout at Midnight 11/08/2020
Greetings and blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ!
We pray that this weeks sermon message might bring you some hope in a chaotic time. There are so many things that can distract us from what is truly important. Jesus reminds us that we need to be prepared for his coming. Many people would read Matthew 25 as a call to be watchful for the "coming of the bridegroom". However, Jesus point is actually more about the preparing our hearts and character for the special day.
The real hope is in Jesus willingness to share with us this teaching and warning! He wants us to get it right! He was telling the crowds then, just as plainly as he is speaking to us today. The shout at midnight means the hour will not be known, but if we are faithful to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts, we will be ready for the wedding feast.
