The One Who Conquers 9/27/2020
Welcome to Herbst UMC, a space for faith. Today we conclude our sermon series on "The State of the Church". Each week we have examined one of the 7 letters from Jesus to the seven churches, found in Revelation 2 & 3. These letters were given to the church to bring encouragement and confidence, commendation and condemnation of actions, and loving correction. In each letter, Jesus speaks hope for "the one who conquers", the people of the church who have placed their trust and hope in Him. To conquer is to hold the name of Jesus as precious and holy in all instances. This for many is very difficult, but it is Jesus who grants us power to persevere!
